Executive Biography

Jeff Molter is an innovator who has increased media coverage and institutional impact, and enhanced brand reputation at each institution or organization where he has worked, including Duke Medical Center, the Journal of the American Medical Association, Emory Health Sciences Center, American Academy of Pediatrics and American Institutes for Research.

His experience includes building and executing successful communications and marketing plans to support institutional missions and to add value, as well as leading teams to create and enhance new strategies for science, medical and health communications. Molter is adept at monitoring threats and opportunities, and meeting the future needs of patients by working with teams to communicate the organization’s competitive advantages. In 2011 he wrote a book chapter on crisis communication (Duke Hospital, organ transplant mismatch). Molter is currently director of communications and public relations for the American Association for Cancer Research. He received a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University Bloomington.
