Executive Biography

Kurt Hinrichsen brings to the firm more than 15 years of experience in fundraising; external, alumni, and government relations; communications; and healthcare philanthropy leadership positions. His service to nonprofit institutions and across industry segments has produced a record of evolving resource development programs to surpass institutional milestones. Hinrichsen is uniquely positioned to offer best-practice recommendations specific to an organization’s particular needs.

He has served leadership and consultative roles on behalf of the University of Wisconsin System, University of Southern California, University of Florida, Michigan State University, University of Cincinnati, The Citadel and Palomar Medical Center. Programs where he had oversight have raised funds totaling more than $500 million. He has been part of the leadership team of several fundraising campaigns of $1 billion or more.

Hinrichsen has a master’s degree in corporate/public communication from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. He also is a former appointee of Wisconsin’s Governor to the State of Wisconsin Higher Education Aids Board.
