Executive Biography

Lee Patouillet, Ph.D., co-founded Patouillet Consulting, LLC, in 1983 with his wife, Mary. He possesses more than 30 years of full-time advancement experience, including senior leadership positions at the University of South Florida, the University of Pittsburgh and the University of Florida. Patouillet returned to one of his alma maters as the Associate Vice Chancellor of Alumni Affairs at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville on July 1, 2013 and has arranged a certain number of consulting days each year. Ms. Mary Patouillet serves as the firm’s Executive Vice President and COO handing the day to day management of the firm.

Patouillet Consulting, LLC enjoys the involvement and support of a national advisory board comprised of industry leaders representing more than 500 years of experience. This is one of the distinguishing characteristics of the firm. A growing number of advisory board members also consult for PCLLC, which broadens the firm’s scope and expertise. Patouillet works with prospective clients to assemble the right team to address the specific needs of the institution or organization. PCLLC enjoys a proposal acceptance rate in excess of 70 percent.

Dr. Patouillet is a frequent speaker at Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) meetings and is a charter member of the Council of Alumni Association Executives (CAAE). Patouillet is a regular contributor to “CURRENTS,” is known as a prolific researcher, and understands best practices within advancement. In his role as president of the firm, Patouillet provides oversight on consulting assignments and the ongoing development of PCLLC.  This custom approach has led to a very high level of customer satisfaction, as reflected by client comments, testimonials and repeat engagements.

Patouillet received a bachelor’s degree with honors in American studies from the University of South Florida; a master’s in college student personnel from University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and a doctorate in administrative and policy studies from the University of Pittsburgh.
